Tom Player, aka Slum King Warrior, aka The Man Inside Of Hats, By Spaceman Jimmy.
Tom Player is a London based singer, songwriter, and lost poet born of unknown origins. With a guitar and a pocket full of half smoked cigarettes, Tommy - as he is more commonly known - brings his musical vision to the world. On a debaucherous journey to New York City in 2010, he performed several songs in tiny venues and many songs in larger ones. Staying at the Chelsea Hotel, an establishment also frequented by Leonard Cohen, William Burroughs and Nico; Tommy penned the worst songs of his career, which ironically resulted in his only local hit : "I'm A Cat (Sometimes)". Despite a degree of notoriety, Tom Player sought to "achieve life anyway" as he was overheard saying in a Brooklyn jail cell. It should be noted, the reasons of his jailing remain unknown.
At the end of 2010 he moved to Paris and joined an elite cult of mimes. He performed a piece called "Chaos Matters" that was featured in the Waldo Review. Tom Player also starred in "Rickshaw Wars" - a FranceTV series where he succeeded to tell the story of his entire life, despite being mostly in the background. He again was featured in the Waldo Review. Mr. Player was also a chief composer for the series and had another hit way back in New York, entitled "Blue Pastis". Tom Player continues to work and reside in various places, but mostly London. He has been feverishly working on multiple sketches and scribbles, melancholic verse, dreams and lo fi recording, and welcomes you into the glittering bowels of his lost boys n girls dislodged existence, in search of dystopian utopia, soon to climax and cultivate in - "We Always Were, Are, And Will Be" (2019).
